Gather ‘round for holiday cheer straight from the farm!

The holidays are a special time at Cowgirl Camryn’s farm. With snowflakes swirling and a spirit of generosity in the air, Cowgirl Camryn and her Barnyard Besties have been busy spreading joy and learning important lessons about giving, celebration, and the true meaning of community.

This holiday season, let’s step into their world and share a collection of short, heartwarming stories. Each tale brings the charm of farm life to life while teaching valuable lessons we can all carry into our own lives.

Lola the Miniature Donkey’s Snowy Carol

Lola loved the holidays—especially the music. She had a voice unlike any other on the farm, and while some of her friends thought her braying was a little… unique, Lola knew it came straight from her heart.

One snowy afternoon, Cowgirl Camryn was preparing for the farm’s annual holiday Carols & Cocoa event when Lola noticed Alpie the Alpaca sitting quietly in the corner of the barn.

“Why aren’t you getting ready, Alpie?” Lola asked, tilting her head.

Alpie looked down at the hay, his ears twitching nervously. “I don’t think I’m good at caroling,” he mumbled. “My hum is too soft, and I don’t want to mess up in front of everyone.”

Lola smiled warmly. “Alpie, your voice is just as special as anyone else’s! Why don’t we practice together? It’ll be fun!”

At first, Alpie was hesitant, but Lola’s cheerful braying made it impossible to say no. They started with a simple tune—Lola sang the verses with her bold bray, and Alpie joined in softly for the chorus. Little by little, Alpie’s confidence grew.

That evening, as all of the Barnyard Besites gathered for the holiday caroling event, Lola gave Alpie a nudge. “Sing with me,” she whispered. Together, their voices rang out, blending beautifully—Lola’s bright and brassy notes with Alpie’s soft, gentle hums.

Encore and Cowgirl Camryn joined in, and soon the whole barnyard was filled with joyous music. Alpie smiled shyly but proudly, realizing that his voice wasn’t too soft after all—it was the perfect harmony. Lola beamed with pride, knowing her favorite part of caroling wasn’t just the singing but helping her Barnyard Besties shine.

Encore the Miniature Horse’s Holiday Parade

Every year, the barnyard animals loved celebrating the holidays with a festive parade. This year, Cowgirl Camryn had a special surprise—Encore would lead the parade! Excited but nervous, Encore wanted everything to go perfectly.

The night before the big day, Encore worked hard to practice his prance and polish his bell-adorned harness. But he soon realized that the other animals were feeling left out. Lola wanted to carry a basket of treats, and Alpie had crafted a bright red scarf to wear.

Encore paused and thought about what Cowgirl Camryn always says: “A good leader brings everyone along.” The next morning, he made sure everyone had a chance to shine. Lola pranced beside him, her basket jingling with bells, and Alpie walked proudly, his scarf glowing in the winter sun.

The parade was a success, and Encore learned an important lesson—being a leader isn’t about being the best; it’s about making everyone feel like they’re a part of something special.

Alpie the Alpaca’s Cozy Gift

Alpie the Alpaca had been preparing for the winter for weeks. He loved his soft, warm fleece and had even saved a few wool scarves for himself to stay cozy. But one chilly afternoon, he saw Cowgirl Camryn returning from her chores, her hands shivering from the biting cold.

“Oh dear,” Alpie thought. “She’s always taking care of us. Maybe it’s my turn to take care of her.”

Alpie trotted over to his stash and picked out his favorite scarf—a deep blue one with white snowflakes—and gently placed it in Cowgirl Camryn’s hands.

“For me?” Cowgirl Camryn asked, her smile warm as a summer day. “Alpie, this is beautiful. Thank you.”

As she wrapped the scarf around her neck, Alpie felt a warmth in his heart that had nothing to do with fleece. He realized that the holidays aren’t just about keeping yourself warm—they’re about sharing your warmth with others.
