Friendsgiving on the Farm

The sun was setting over the farm as Cowgirl Camryn and her Barnyard Besties gathered in the big barn for their very first Friendsgiving. The sky was painted in shades of pink and orange, and the cool breeze carried the sweet scent of hay and apples. It was the perfect evening to come together, share a meal, and celebrate the friendship they had built over many adventures.

Cowgirl Camryn smiled as she set the table. She had worked hard to prepare the barn, laying out colorful tablecloths and placing jars of fresh-picked flowers in the center. Tonight wasn’t just about food—it was about sharing, being thankful, and enjoying the company of those she cared about the most: Lola the Miniature Donkey, Encore the Miniature Horse, and Alpie the Alpaca.

“Welcome to Friendsgiving, everyone!” Cowgirl Camryn said with a grin. “I’m so grateful to have each of you in my herd. Tonight, we’re going to share not just food, but stories of friendship and the things we’re most thankful for.”

Lola, with her big, soft eyes, was the first to speak. She stepped forward with a basket full of flower crowns. “I’m thankful for all of you,” she said as she places a crown on each of their heads. “You make me feel like I belong, and I’m grateful for every moment we spend together—whether it’s exploring the farm or just resting under the big oak tree.”

Encore the Miniature Horse, always full of energy, pranced over next, carrying a pile of carrots. “I’m thankful for the fun we have together,” he said. “You’re always there when I need a friend, whether I’m in a race across the pasture or when I just need someone to talk to. You all make everything more exciting!”

Alpie the Alpaca stepped up quietly, his wool soft and fluffy in the evening light. He laid down a bundle of fresh hay. “I’m thankful for the way we help each other,” he said in his calm, gentle voice. “When I feel nervous, you’re there to support me. It makes me feel brave, knowing I have friends like you.”

Cowgirl Camryn beamed as she listened to her friends. “I’m thankful for all of you too,” she said, placing her hands on her hips. “Each one of you brings something special to the herd. Together, we make this farm feel like home, and I’m so lucky to share it with such wonderful friends. Friendship is like the farm itself—it grows stronger when we take care of it.”

As the evening went on, they all sat down at the table, enjoying the food they had brought to share. They laughed and told stories of their adventures—like the time Encore went under the fence and we couldn’t find him for feeding time, or when Alpie bravely stood up for himself to the crows that were bullying him after the herd gave him a pep talk and fashion show. Each memory reminded them of the strong bond they shared.

After everyone had their fill, Cowgirl Camryn stood up one last time. “Friendsgiving isn’t just about the food we share—it’s about the love, kindness, and gratitude we give to one another every day. I’m thankful for each of you today, tomorrow, and always.”

With that, they all gathered together for a big group hug, knowing that no matter what, they’d always have each other.
